Yes, If you stop by Krispy Kreme's in Portland right now, you will probably find an excess of 6 cops on a roof top, raising money for the special olypics. This is too good to be true. While streets are going up in flames from the Cinco de Mayo festivities, a large group of Portland's finest are camped out on a Doughnut shop roof... Lowering a bucket to talk to people and collect money... It's got a name like, cops on Doughnut tops or something like that...
I was mildly concerned when I pulled up next to the SWAT team Vehicle... I thought there must have been a raid going on, or something else that required extreme back up... So I called up to the Officers on the roof and asked if it was safe to go in... To which the man replied that this was probably the safest building in town.
Good to know that while banks are being robbed and cars are being stolen that Portland is taking the protection of our fair city's doughnut shops seriously.
